Previewing the Future of Nursing Training: Xennial & NWFSC

Our CEO Douglas Fajardo together with Dr. Tanya Beauregard, Director of the School of Nursing at Northwest Florida State College, recently presented at the IVRHA (International Virtual Reality and Healthcare Association) 9th Annual Conference, a preview of our collaborative work to build a comprehensive VR Nurse Training Program.

Our partnership focuses on enhancing nurse-patient communication, proper equipment use and procedures for full patient assessments and medication administration. 

Key highlights from our presentation included: 

• Integrating AI and VR to create realistic conversations and interactions between nursing students and virtual patients. 
• Developing a scalable framework to expand a growing library of nurse-patient training scenarios. 
• Implementing advanced hand-tracking capabilities to replicate real-life situations for more effective skills learning.
