We are excited to announce our partnership with Lorenzo Walker Technical College, the premier Aviation Technician Training school in Florida, to co-develop a comprehensive VR Aviation Training Program for its Airframe and Powerplant mechanics students.
“Our collaboration with Xennial will elevate the educational experience for our aviation airframe and powerplant mechanics students at Lorenzo Walker Technical College,”
— John Monda, Director
This innovative VR Aviation Training Program is made possible through grants from the Ray Foundation, which supports skills development in aviation, and Champions For Learning, based in Naples, FL.
Elevating Training Through VR
The VR Aviation Training Program at Lorenzo Walker will encompass the development of a King Air C90 Airplane, a PT6 Engine, and a Lycoming Engine, providing students with hands-on experience in maintaining these critical systems. In addition, we will integrate the Aviation Careers Exploration module, allowing students to explore different roles within the aviation industry and better understand the path to a successful career.
By leveraging VR technology, we’re able to create a more engaging and effective learning environment, enabling students to interact with these complex systems in a realistic yet controlled setting. This approach not only enhances knowledge retention but also prepares students for the real-world challenges they will face in their careers.
A Partnership for the Future of Aviation Education
This collaboration between Xennial and Lorenzo Walker represents a significant step forward in the use of VR and AR for aviation training. It aligns with our mission to bring transformative learning experiences to classrooms by creating immersive, hands-on training solutions that prepare students for the future of work in aviation.
