Xennial is excited to announce a multi-year partnership with Northwest Florida State College to co-develop a comprehensive VR Nursing Program. This collaboration will create realistic and engaging simulations to enhance training for nursing students and healthcare professionals across the region.

Dr. Henry Mack from NWFSC highlighted the role of Virtual Reality in recreating tense, real-world scenarios for students, allowing them to refine their skills in a risk-free environment. Xennial and NWFSC will develop customized VR/AR training modules, supported by a Triumph Gulf Coast grant, to integrate Virtual Reality into the nursing curriculum effectively.

Dr. Devin Stephenson, President of NWFSC, noted, “The use of Virtual Reality to transform workforce training, particularly in healthcare, is significant. It provides a realistic platform for students to practice and gain hands-on experience.”

The first VR/AR training modules will be launched in the 2024 academic year, with a full suite of modules expected by 2026. NWFSC will be the first state college in Florida to implement such a comprehensive VR/AR training experience for nursing students.
