Highlignt: Xennial’s VR Intubation & Anesthesia Training Suite

Xennial Nov 25, 2025 10:45:00 AM

We are excited to highlight our VR Intubation & Anesthesia Training Suite—an immersive, high-fidelity learning experience designed to help nursing students and clinicians develop mastery in some of the most critical skills in patient care. This suite brings a new level of accessibility, safety, and standardization to airway and anesthesia training, allowing learners to practice complex procedures as many times as needed before performing them in a clinical setting.

Developed in Collaboration with the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Sciences

To ensure the highest accuracy, our development team collaborated with University of Miami faculty and anesthesia experts. Their input shaped the procedural steps, clinical decision-making pathways, and equipment interactions found across all modules.

This partnership has resulted in a training experience that mirrors real clinical environments— empowering students to learn safely, repeatedly, and with greater confidence.

The training suite includes six modules that guide learners through essential airway and anesthesia competencies:
  • Anesthesia Depth Equipment: Practice proper setup of anesthesia equipment, including positioning the forehead strip and selecting correct vaporizer settings.
  • Fluid Status Equipment: Prepare fluid warmers, assess PPV levels, and understand how fluid status affects anesthesia management.
  • Normothermia Equipment: Set up a Baer Hugger system and ensure accurate monitoring of temperature using esophageal or skin probes.
  • Intubation & Ventilation: Perform endotracheal intubation, configure mechanical ventilation, and monitor capnography before, during, and after the procedure.
  • Nerve Block Administration: Place electrodes, administer nerve-blocking agents, and interpret neuromuscular responses using TOF and tetanus stimulation.
  • One-Lung Ventilation: Execute double lumen tube placement, isolate lung ventilation, and apply selective clamping techniques for thoracic procedures.

Each module replicates real clinical workflows, giving learners a realistic and risk-free way to develop high-stakes skills.
